Het is opmerkelijk hoeveel erelijst Yevgueni al heeft bijeengespaard. Het curiosum is snel een vaste waarde geworden. Debuutalbum ‘Kannibaal’ is ondertussen half goud (7.500+) en blijft verkopen. Twee belangrijke momenten: a) de openbare sympathiebetuiging van Mark Uytterhoeven in De Laatste Show (begin 2006) en b) de eerste plaats van Zo Is Er Maar één met ‘Laat Ons Een Bloem’ van Louis Neefs (juni 2006). Die overwinning zorgt ook voor de eerste bekendheidsverschijnselen.

De groep verschijnt scherp en afgetraind aan de start van ‘Aan De Arbeid’. De 11 nummers worden opgenomen in twee sessies van twee dagen. Producer – en detailman - Wouter Van Belle laat ditmaal strijkers achterwege en voegt alleen Wigbert hier en daar als versiering toe.
