"I like beautiful melodies telling me terrible things". De quote die Tom Waits zich ooit liet ontvallen moet zowat de rode draad geweest zijn op 'Forgotten Clothes', het debuut van The Me in You. De combinatie van melancholie en meerstemmige harmonieën leek onontgonnen terrein in Vlaanderen en Nederland, reden waarom de band met singles 'Girl in Armour' en 'Plastik' heel wat airplay kreeg op Radio 1 en Studio Brussel en onder meer op Pukkelpop stond.

Drie jaar en een grondige bezinning later is The Me in You terug met twaalf nummers die knetteren en knisperen, geschreven en opgenomen onder het toeziend oog van producer en multi-instrumentalist Gaëtan Vandewoude (Isbells, Sweet Little Mojo) in de mythische Studio Stereo Total. Het instrumentarium werd uitgebreid, ingeslagen paden werden grondig bewerkt met een schoffel en het resultaat is een groep die scherper en gedurfder klinkt dan tevoren...
